Summer Art & Sun

The Summer Art Show Season is midpoint here in Chicago land. Take note show goers! This weekend and next weekend boast two Art Show gems in the same zip code that attract both artists and patrons far and wide.

Saturday July 28 & Sunday July 29 is the 64th Annual Glenview Art League Show -

The oldest running art show in Illinois. Back in 1954 the founding gang of artists hung their paintings on chicken wire.between trees along the parkway and across driveways. Since 1957 the show has been held on the grounds of The Lyons School on the corner of Lake & Waukegan. On grass under old oak trees, The wonderful Sandy Sheagren and her cast of volunteers create a community gathering of great people and beautiful intent.
